Account Deletion – Daily Love Notes

This page is only for the Daily Love Notes app. It explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data.

Steps to request account deletion

  1. Open the Daily Love Notes app on your phone (Android or iOS).
  2. Sign in with the account you want to delete.
  3. Go to Options (Settings / Options).
  4. In the Danger zone section, tap Delete account.
  5. Read the consequences shown on the screen.
  6. Type DELETE in all caps, exactly as prompted, to confirm.
  7. Tap Delete my account and wait until the process finishes.
  8. Your session will end and you will no longer be able to sign in with that account.

Note: You do not need to send an email to delete your account. The request is completed inside the app by the account holder.

If you cannot access the app

For example, if you lost your phone or otherwise cannot open Daily Love Notes, contact support and ask for account deletion. Use the same contact channel as in the store listing:

In your message, include the email address on the account and state clearly that you want your Daily Love Notes account deleted. We will respond within 10 business days.

Creator and receiver accounts

Daily Love Notes links creators and receivers. Deleting your account removes your personal data and content stored for your role in the service, as described below. If you share a connection with a partner in the app, they may still have their own account unless they delete it separately.

What data is deleted

  • Account profile data (for example, name, email, and account identifiers).
  • Card collections, messages, and unlock schedule data associated with your account.
  • Card styling preferences (colors, gradients, themes) and optional personal photos used as card backgrounds.
  • Invite and pairing metadata linked to your account (such as share links and QR invite references).
  • In-app preferences and settings tied to your account.

What data may be retained

  • Minimal records needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance (for example, logs of deletion requests) may be kept for a limited time and then permanently removed.
  • If you purchased something through an app store, that store may keep transaction records under its own policies. Deleting your Daily Love Notes account does not cancel store subscriptions automatically—manage subscriptions in Google Play or the App Store if applicable.

Timing and backups

After you complete deletion in the app (or after we process a verified support request when you cannot access the app), your Daily Love Notes account is scheduled for deletion and will be removed from active systems within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days. Backup systems may retain encrypted copies for up to 30 days before they are overwritten. Any records we must keep by law are retained only for the minimum time required and then deleted.
