These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Daily Love Notes, including the mobile app, website, and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Service Overview
Daily Love Notes turns affection into a daily ritual. A creator writes a collection of notes (also referred to as an "album"), and a receiver unlocks exactly one card every 24 hours. Future cards stay locked until their unlock time.
Roles and Core Rules
Creator
- Creates collections / albums (for example, 7 days / 7 reasons why I love you, or 30 days / 30 reasons).
- Can customize each card background and visual style.
- Can invite a receiver via link or QR code.
- Cannot edit cards that were already unlocked by the receiver.
- May create up to 10 collections (albums) per account — see Usage Limits and Fair Use below.
Receiver
- Joins through an invite link or QR code.
- Unlocks one card per 24-hour cycle.
- Can read all cards that have already been unlocked.
Accounts and Eligibility
- You must provide accurate account information.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
User Content
You retain ownership of your notes, text, and uploaded media ("User Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display User Content only to operate the Service, including hosting it on our backend infrastructure (Supabase).
You are responsible for your User Content and must not upload or share unlawful, abusive, harassing, infringing, or otherwise prohibited content.
Usage Limits and Fair Use
Each user account is permitted to create a maximum of 10 collections (albums) in total (for example, a "7 days / 7 reasons why I love you" album is counted as one of the 10). This limit applies to all plans, including free and paid subscriptions, and has been established in order to prevent abuse, spam, fraudulent activity, and excessive consumption of system resources.
Any attempt to circumvent this limit — including, without limitation, the creation of multiple accounts by the same individual, the automation of collection creation, or any other form of evasion — shall be deemed a material breach of these Terms and may result in the suspension or termination of the offending account and the removal of any content created in excess of the applicable limit.
We reserve the right to revise this limit in the future (for example, to offer higher caps under specific plans) and will communicate any material changes through the app or website.
Invites, Access, and Availability
Invite links and QR codes are intended for private use between intended participants. We may invalidate invite access when misuse, abuse, or suspicious activity is detected.
We may modify features, apply per-user limits (such as the maximum number of collections described above), perform maintenance, or suspend parts of the Service to keep the platform secure and reliable.
Subscriptions and Purchases
- Subscriptions and in-app purchases are offered and processed by the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and managed through RevenueCat.
- Prices, automatic renewals, refunds, and cancellations follow the rules of the store through which the purchase was made.
- Your active plan and entitlement are validated through RevenueCat. In case of any discrepancy, the store where the purchase was made is the authoritative source of truth.
- The 10-album limit described in "Usage Limits and Fair Use" applies regardless of subscription status unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific plan.
Third-Party Services
The Service is built on top of trusted third-party providers. By using Daily Love Notes, you acknowledge that your content and account data are processed by these providers under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for your collections, cards, and uploads.
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management across Apple App Store and Google Play.
- PostHog — product analytics, diagnostics, and feature flags used to operate and improve the Service.

Prohibited Conduct
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to any account or system.
- Do not use the Service to harm, stalk, threaten, or exploit others.
- Do not upload malicious code or interfere with the Service.
- Do not infringe privacy or intellectual property rights.
- Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, including the 10-album cap.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how personal data is handled, including through our subprocessors (Supabase, RevenueCat, and PostHog).
As part of our service commitment, we guarantee retention of core account and app content data for up to five (5) years so that users can continue to use the product as intended. After this five-year period, we do not commit to maintaining, preserving, or restoring such data.
Enforcement, Suspension, and Termination
You may discontinue use of the Service at any time. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, where we determine, on reasonable grounds, that a user has engaged in abusive conduct, violated these Terms, compromised the security or integrity of the Service, or where such action is required for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons.
For the purposes of these Terms, "abusive conduct" includes, without limitation: harassment, threats, or exploitation of other users; the upload or distribution of unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; unauthorized access to accounts or systems; automated or large-scale misuse of the Service; circumvention of usage limits (including the 10-album cap); fraudulent purchases or chargeback abuse; and any other behavior that materially harms the Service, its users, or Shadow Labs Studios.
Depending on the severity and nature of the conduct, enforcement actions may include, without limitation: a warning, the removal of specific content, the revocation of invite links, temporary suspension of features, or the permanent termination of the account and associated data. In serious or repeated cases, access to the Service may be permanently denied.
If you believe that an enforcement action was taken in error, or that your account was suspended or terminated without abusive or infringing behavior on your part, you are encouraged to contact us at shadowmmastudios@gmail.com with a description of the situation and any relevant information. We will review such requests in good faith and, where appropriate, reinstate the account or reverse the action. This contact channel is intended for legitimate appeals and support requests only; repeated or abusive submissions may themselves be treated as a violation of these Terms.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or permanent storage of all content.
Daily Love Notes is a relationship and communication tool. It does not provide therapy, medical advice, or professional counseling.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the Service.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your jurisdiction.
